Classic basil italian pizza
Savor our Classic Italian Basil Pizza for a dinner that combines tradition with health. Ingredients
- 150 g of semi whole wheat flour
- 50 g dof chickpea flour
- 3 tbsp of olive oil
- 2 pinches of curcuma
- ⅔ of a packet of baker's yeast
- 15 g of low fat cheese
- Pieces of pepper, onion, tomato ( Depending on your preferences)
- Water
- Salt
- For the sauce:
- 1 tbsp of olive oil,1 medium-sized grated tomato ,2 bay leafs, 2 garlic cloves,5 sprigs of thyme, 5 sprigs of rosemary,1 tbsp of canned tomatoes ,a pinch of salt ,a pinch of dried basil ,water
Preparation steps
- 1. For the sauce: Put chopped tomatoes, a bay leaf, garlic, thyme and rosemary in a bowl and bake for 35 minutes
- 2. Mix everything in a blender until you obtain a creamy texture
- 3. For the pizza dough: Mix the T80 wheat flour with the chickpea flour, add curcuma, a pinch of salt, baker's yeast and olive oil. Knead into a dough using 12cl of water. Leave to rest at a room temperature for 1 hour
- 4. Preheat the bottom of th oven to 200°
- 5. Press the dough into the baking sheet
- 6. Spread the tomato sauce on the dough, add cheese and tomato slices on top and bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the pizza with basil right out of the oven and Enjoy it!
