Ingredients

  • 1 glass of coral lentils
  • 250 g chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 2 medium carrots cut into pieces
  • ½ medium courgette, cut into pieces
  • 1 medium-sized onion, cut into pieces
  • 1 medium tomato cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of canned tomato
  • Chopped parsley and coriander
  • spices: ras el hanout, salt, black pepper, cumin, ginger
  • Boiling water

Preparation steps

  • 1. In a saucepan, the pieces of chicken with olive oil, then add the pieces of vegetables (carrot, courgette, onion, tomato) and let them fry for 5 to 10 minutes
  • 2. Add the canned tomato and the spices then the chopped parsley and coriander
  • 3. Add boiling water (about 3-4 glasses) and let the soup cook for 20-30 minutes
  • 4. Add the red lentils and cook for 15 to 20 minutes
  • 5. Remove the pan from the heat and mix all the ingredients with a blender
  • 6. Serve the soup on a plate and add a spoonful of liquid cream if you want and enjoy
